Exporting Models

One of the main admin features of any user account is the ability to export and import models in and out of Akumen. Exporting should be used to back up applications and assets within Akumen, but it can also be used to transfer models between accounts. It is recommended that once you have models ready for use in Akumen that a backup of the model is created. Whether this is through Git or through exporting we always recommend that your models are backed up to a safe location. This can only be done by exporting the model from Akumen and into a user folder outside of Akumen.

To export a model:

1. Hover over the gear symbol until the settings menu pops up.
2. Go to Admin.
3. Select Export.
4. You will be taken to the Export page.
5. Once in the page you will have to select:
   • The Application you want to export;
   • Any Assets that are connected to the Application;
   • Any Asset Views connected to the Assets and Application; and
   • The corresponding pages
6. Once you have selected all of those things click Export.

You can export as many applications as you like, but be warned of the file size, too big and it could slow down your browser. The export page exports all models into a standard .zip file.

The export tool allows you to export more than one model, ssset, asset view, and page at any one time. To add more of these to the export list simply click on the dropdown boxes to add more to the list.
